Christmas at Papa's House

I wasn't too sure what was going on with this Christmas stuff, so I acted a little shy.  Maybe I'll get the hang of it by next year.

Grandma and Papa took me to a shoe store last Saturday and I didn't like that, at all.  That woman was screwing with my feet, so I screamed bloody murder.  I don't think Papa will take me there again.

A Beautiful October Sunday at Vanderbeek Farm near Bohemia, PA

Me, Dad, Grandma, Maddie, Angie, Uncle Seanie, and Crazy Carl went to the Vanderbeek Farm yesterday for the pumpkin patch and petting zoo.  It was a beautiful day with bright sunshine and the temperature around 70 degrees (I don't know what that means, but Grandpa says it's good).  Grandpa didn't go with us.  He said he had to run up to Narrowsburg to get his Sunday newspapers (they don't deliver where he lives).  Mom had to work, so she couldn't go with us either.  I sure missed her.  Anyway, grandpa let us use his camera and we got the photos below.  Hope you enjoy them.

"This is fun!"

"I hate pigs."

"Dad, what's the big deal with the rusty old pig?"
The Pumpkin Patch
We're checking out the pumpkins.  Everyone gets to take one (us little folks that is -- the adults are just here to help no matter what they think).
Decisions, decisions.
Maddie found her pumpkin and suckered some....er, asked someone to carry it off for her.

Angie found hers and didn't need any assistance.
The girls did good!!
Me and Dad checking out the pumpkins.  He reminded me, "These aren't tires son, you can't kick 'em."
I think this one works for me.
Dad was a good sport and helped me carry it off.

"Mom, this is a special day!!  What's with the phone?"

Maddie, Uncle Sean, Angie, and Uncle Carl.  They're good guys.

Notice how Uncle Sean can't let go of his phone.  Uncle Carl teases him about it.

Uncle Sean with me and my sisters.

Let me out!!

How did you get out there?  You were just behind me!

C'mon, let me out.

Yeah, I'll get you for this!!
The Petting Zoo

Why is it that whenever I go to a petting zoo, I'm the one on a short leash?

It was a really great day for the family.  We need to do that more often.  Thanks Dad, Grandma, Uncle Sean, and Uncle Carl for showing us such a good time.

Movie from last Spring

Grandpa thinks this is funny, but I don't.  I keep trying to tell him, but he acts like he doesn't understand.  When you fall down and lose your licorice, you have to stand up and take a couple steps forward and pick it up.  Can't waste the sugar.

Go Buckeyes!!!!!!!!!!!

O-H

I-O

Maddie's Soccer Saturdays

Let's Play Ball
I can do this.  Piece of cake.
I think you have this all wrong, Dad!

But it sure is fun this way.

I've got it!!

Free kick for me.

If you want it, you have to take it.

I ain't givin' it up!

Goal!!!!   I win!!

I'm too good for the competition.
All these cones were spaced far apart on the edge of the grass.  They looked lonely.

I got 'em together and now they're happy.

Vacation

We went on vacation for a week in western New York in July.  Me, my mom and dad, my grandma and grandpa, and my sisters Maddy and Angie went up to the Finger Lakes region in western New York.  We stayed in a real nice cabin, but they wouldn't let me go roaming in the woods -- something about bears and penitentiaries.  We went to Letchworth State Park and Niagara Falls and to an amusement park.  We also saw some really pretty sights around the lake.

Angie, Mommy, me, Daddy, and Maddie.

Get up Mommy!

Do you need resuscitated?

Let me get the phone.

It must be here somewhere.

I found it.  Now to dial 911.

What do you mean, "Get off the phone, kid?"

ARGHHH!

Waterfalls put me to sleep.

Me and grandma beside the Niagara River.

This was at Letchworth State Park.  I'm glad I'm not on that train.

Wow!

I need a lift.  Shanks mare broke down.

Hops.

Grandpa bought beer.  Shucks, I thought we were going to make it!
